Knight's Air Assisted Twin Fluid sprayers can transform the productivity of your spraying operations by :
1 Doubling the acreage you cover with a tank of chemicals
2 Increasing the number of days when you can spray efficiently.
3 Improving the effectiveness of each application.
Twin-fluid nozzles are designed to mix air and chemical solution within the nozzle body to produce a controllable droplet size range. The larger droplets contain air bubbles and burst on impact with the target. This improves the spread and adhesion of the chemical which in turn allows the use of a coarser spray than usual which reduces drift and improves efficiency.
The ability to control the droplet size also gives far more precise control to suit crop conditions, weather conditions and tractor speed. Spray quality can be changed from within the cab at the flick of a switch. This feature is of particular advantage when working near water courses or neighboring crops that may be susceptible to drift.
L.E.R.A.P. requirements can easily be accommodated without changing nozzles. Simply select the 3 star setting when required and flick back to the required droplet size for normal spraying.
The System is also highly effective in reducing spray drift. In a comparative test at Silsoe research centre a twin-fluid nozzle operated with a fine spray produced 35 per cent less drift than a conventional fine nozzle. The chemical goes where you want it!
Because the Twin Fluid spray is so much more effective than conventionally applied sprays, far lower water volumes need to be used.
Users obtain the same crop protection results from 100 litres/ha as they previously achieved with 200 litres/ha. Many get good results with even less water. They literally cover twice the acreage between tank fills.

As with our conventional sprayers, we offer a choice of nozzles. We can provide guidance in choosing the correct Twin Fluid Nozzle to suit your individual needs.
The Cleanacres "Airtec" nozzle offers the advantage of a fully automated droplet control system that will integrate with most flow based application control systems. We particularly recommend this nozzle if you wish to use a precision farming, variable rate control system.
The Spraying Systems "Air Jet" nozzle provides excellent droplet size stability as water throughput changes. As an all round nozzle we recommend it to users not wishing to invest in a fully automatic droplet control system.
The Knight Twin Fluid system has been designed to give the best possible all-round performance in terms of convenience, reliability and end results. Features include:
1 Air and water meet at the point of atomisation within the nozzle body, giving optimum mixing
2 Designed to minimise the volume of air required to atomise the liquid, power consumption is relatively low
3 The air-cooled, maintenance free compressor ensures a long trouble free life.
4 A balanced pressure control system automatically keeps air pressure constant when boom sections are turned off
5 A reduced air flow when the nozzle is switched off stops nozzles dripping
6 With a Triple nozzle assembly the sprayer can be used for conventional and twin-fluid spraying without fitting twin spray lines.
