The Knight Air sleeve boom is the ideal choice where a dense crop canopy has to be penetrated. The high volume of air produced ensures the foliage is completely covered with the spray droplets.
Efficiency is also improved by keeping spray drift to a minimum, thereby ensuring that more of your valuable chemical reaches the target.
Infinite control of the air supply from a lever positioned in the tractor cab gives the operator complete control over the machines performance. Power requirement is kept to a minimum by using a variable displacement hydraulic pump to supply only as much air as is required for the job.
The strong steel lattice boom was designed to protect the air sleeve inside its structure. This avoids premature failure of the sleeve.
The boom is supplied as standard with one spray line which can be angled rearward into the air draft or pointed straight down as with conventional sprayers. The nozzles are spaced at 1/3m intervals.
Twin spray lines are available. One line is positioned rearward into the air draft and the other in the conventional vertical position. This arrangement allows the boom to be used for conventional application such as liquid fertiliser as well as the more specialised Air Sleeve mode.
